Construction cost by plot size

Marla size, plot dimensions and floors — then cement, steel, bricks, sand and crush, with an illustrative range at sample rates or a total at your own rates.

How much to build on this plot? (ghar banane ka kharcha)

Pick the plot’s marla size and dimensions, the floors and what to include, and get the cement, steel, bricks, sand and crush a typical brick house on it needs, with an illustrative cost range at sample rates — or a total at your own rates. The detailed estimate lets you change every line and quantity.

All material and labour rates in this tool are sample rates from data/rates.json, not quotations, and the quantities come from planning factors that have not yet been calibrated against completed Blackfire houses. Use the result to plan and to compare quotes; tick “Enter my own rates” for a figure you can use.

Plot

A marla is 225, 250 or 272.25 sq ft depending on the society and authority — check your allotment letter. A preset gives a plot of exactly that many marla at the size you choose; type your own width and depth to use your real plot. The society only labels your message: rates are the same for every area until local supplier quotations are published.

Common questions

Why a range and not one figure?

The rates in this tool are samples and the quantities per square foot are planning averages that have not been checked against completed Blackfire houses. A single figure would look more certain than it is. Enter today’s quotes under “Enter my own rates” and the page gives one total at your rates.

Why does the marla size matter?

A “5 marla” plot is 1,125 sq ft where a marla is 225 sq ft, 1,250 sq ft at 250 and 1,361 sq ft at 272.25. The presets follow the size you pick; your own width and depth always decide the area.

What is not included?

Boundary wall, water, sewer, gas and electricity connections, approvals and design fees, delivery, taxes, contingency, furniture and appliances. Labour, rough-in and finishing are included only when you tick them.
